Living in fear

(Here "he"is representing the whole community)

This is a poem for someone, who deserves more than what he have got

Working under the full moon and the ruthless sun
No matter whether it's freezing cold or burning hot

But time has changed, as we say end is near This feels so unreal, he is now living in fear

From the ancient times, he has been saving lives
The word selfish , in him never does it lies
In a dark night, when the child cries
He is the one who doesn't make any excuses and never lies
Despite of all these, he has a lot to bear

This feels so cruel, he is now living in fear

As a child, a lot us dream to be like him
But gradually we realise how difficult is to be him
Many pandemics went by and he was the one to take the death count to zero
Why be a reel life superman when you can be him, a real life superhero

But we take him as granted, considering him to be our reserve

In reality, he is someone we don't even deserve

He does everything on a scientific basis
Not like some fake saints with their baseless hypothesis

Just like when the plant dries, watering it makes it rise again

But when the plant dies, every affort of ours to make it alive goes into vain

So don't mistake him to be God, expecting to save us from the inevitable death

He is just a common man, trying his best to be with us till our last breath

He is being abused and beaten by some foolish men, like someone's death was his mistake
Just let him mind his own business, for God's sake
Even if he takes one day off for himself
We all will be wailing in the streets, crying for help
It's the noblest profession as we say
It's him, the 'doctor', serving the humanity till his last day
